Sororities use philanthropic projects to give back to their surrounding community. Alpha Sigma Chi devotes time and effort to make an impact on others. We support a variety of community organizations and philanthropic projects, and we focus our support towards The Canadian Spinal Research Organization and The AIDS Committee of Durham Region.

CSRO is dedicated to the improvement of the physical quality of life for persons with a spinal cord injury and those with related neurological deficits, through targeted medical and scientific research. The CSRO is also committed to the reduction of spinal cord injuries through awareness programs for the general public and prevention programs for targeted groups. Their goal is to find a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury or other neurological deficits.

The AIDS Committee of Durham Region was created to provide HIV/AIDS related services to the infected or affected and the general community in the region of Durham. The AIDS Committee strives to provide support to individuals, families and groups infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in the Region of Durham, advocate with and on behalf of individuals and families

infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in the Region of Durham. Lastly, they have established an organizational structure which supports the development and provision of HIV/AIDS related services in the Region of Durham.
